To identify the social relationships built in these domestic atmospheres, investigated through the use and consumption of objects found in the inventories post mortem, newspapers, travelers' reports and other documentations. To point the path of the influences that suffered the domestic atmospheres, incorporating or producing their own relationships with the house space is a task that I try to discuss. The domesticidade senses permeated by the relative notion of privacy and to the limited access to the consumption of goods materials are possibilities that emerge along the study. It is in this group that I investigate the meaning that the comfort notions, praticidade are projected in the domestic furnitures, and with this to read as the urban inhabitant represented those sensibilities before the residence place in this capital paraense in the middle of the century XIX.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Desenvolvimento sustentável, organização e reorganização de trabalhadores rurais do alto rio Atuá na ilha de Marajó: exame de uma experiência(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-02) FERRÃO, Euzalina da Silva; ANTONAZ, Diana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7547028254641362This work aims analysing the ways by which sustainable development projects were introduced and implemented in the town of Muaná and in the High Atuá Region, in the Marajó Island, considering intervention of governmental and non-governmental organizations. Organization and reorganization processes of the rural workers at the High Atuá River in unions and associations are analysed, as well as the perception and strategy of those whom the projects are addressed to. It discusses the contours of this identification in Belém and analyses the life stories of the descendants of the second and third generations. It aims to discuss in which contexts and situations the signs of their identifications were manipulated to mark distinctions, by them and by others. The chosen fenomena are seen in a long range perception about formative links of Marajó Island society as cattleherders from its beginnings of economic endeavors, also their proceedigins to build social groups in order to understand changing and unchanging features of cowboys, cattleherders and goodparent’s activities as main traits of their way of life. Communication means, mores and uses go together with a social context that reacts to the introduction of new tools and mass media from the realm of modern social life such as cattle certification, land demarcation, and a public environmental en surance for the interval of time when fishing is not permitted.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Vida material: entre casas e objetos, Belém 1920-1945(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009) GOMES, Elane Cristina Rodrigues; VIEIRA JÚNIOR, Antonio Otaviano; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6764908679902300The material life in the city of Belém is the stage of the analysis of this work, that seek to understand the social, economic and cultural relations through the universe of the homes and the objects of wealthy families between 1920-1945. Changes and permanences in the manners of living was present on the public power discourse, that gradually with a speech based on the hygiene sought to enter in the daily practices of its residents, which interfered in their actions and in the interiors of homes. We intend to accompany the residents within their homes, noting the arrival of objects and habits that were lined on the concept of civilization disclosed by the Republican State. So we intend to observe the news of the economy of Pará and its growth in the furnishings production section and the subjects which were coupled with the consumption of these objects, knowing the place of sale and purchase of household utensils and their disclosure forms. We try to analyze the social use of objects in the rooms of homes and the transformations among its users to submit links between material life and cultural practices.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Visto, logo existo: moda, sociabilidade feminina e consumo em Belém no limiar do Século XX(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-07-12) MARTINS JÚNIOR, Rui Jorge Moraes; LACERDA, Franciane Gama; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1007392320101957The dissertation discusses the women's clothing in Belém in the first two decades of the twentieth century, trying to understand the multiple meanings given to women's clothing by women themselves and by the chroniclers of magazines and newspapers that circulated in the major city of Pará as A Semana, Belém Nova, A Tarde, A Palavra, Folha do Norte among others. In this regard, the discussions turn to the relationship between the consumption of fashion elements and the advance of modernity in Belém, with the backdrop of the profound transformations undergone by the urban city in the early decades of the twentieth century, marked by the crisis in the later business of rubber. They reveal themselves so the quest for change in some of these women constructed from cutting the hair, the length of skirts, the construction of a new look, and concerns play spaces beyond the ambience of the private. Thus, sociality built by many elite women, suggests a questioning of its social role in that fashion, sometimes functioned as non-verbal speech.
