Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Determinação automática da porosidade e zoneamento de perfis através da rede neural artificial competitiva(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2000) LIMA, Klédson Tomaso Pereira de; ANDRADE, André José Neves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8388930487104926Two of the most important activities of log interpretation, for the evaluation of hydrocarbon reservoirs are the log zonation and the effective porosity calculation of the rocks crossed by the well. The log zonation is the visual log interpretation for the identification, in depth, of the reservoir layers and its vertical limits, that is to say, it is the formal separation in reservoir rocks and non reservoir rocks (shales). The log zonation procedure is accomplished in a manual way, being been worth of the geologic and geophysical knowledge, and of the experience of the log analyst, in the visual evaluation of the curve patterns (log characteristics) corresponding to each specific rock type. The calculation of the effective porosity (porosity of the rock reservoir corrected by clay effects), combines a visual activity so much in the identification of the representative points of a reservoir rock in the log, as well as the adapted choice of the petrophysics equation, that relates the physical properties of the rock to the porosity. Starting from the knowledge of the porosity, the hydrocarbon volume will be established. This activity, essential for the reservoirs qualification, requests a lot of the knowledge and of the experience of the log analyst, for the effective porosity evaluation. An efficient form of automating these procedures and assistant the log analyst, in these activities, that particularly demand a great expenditure of time, is presented in this dissertation, in the form of a new log, derived of the traditional porosity logs, that presents the log zonation, highlighting the top and base depths of the occurrences of reservoir rocks, and non reservoir rocks, scaled in form of effective porosity, called here, as "zoning effective porosity log". The obtaining of the zoning effective porosity log, is based on the project and execution of several architectures of artificial neural feedforward networks, with not supervised training, and contends a layer of artificial competitive neurons. Projected in way to simulate the behavior of the log analyst, when he uses the neutron-density chart, for the situations of applicability of the shale-sandstone model. The applicability and limitations of this methodology will be appraised on real data, originated from of Lago Maracaibo's basin (Venezuela).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A educação popular na América Latina: um estudo comparado do pensamento social de Simón Rodríguez (Venezuela, 1771-1854) e Antônio Carneiro Leão (Brasil, 1887-1966)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-06-26) GONÇALVES, Micheli Suellen Neves; ARAÚJO, Sônia Maria da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5826372225106245This research addresses how thematic Popular Education in Simón Rodríguez (1771-1854) and Antonio Carneiro Leão (1887-1966), intellectuals in Latin America. The basic question that guided the research process can be summarized in the following question: in the context of structuring the nation-states of Latin America, how the intellectuals Simón Rodríguez and Antonio Carneiro Leao thought Popular Educational? As hypotheses, we understand that: 1) These intellectuals weave fragile wires that assisted in the meaning of the concept of Popular Education presently, either through negation or the defense of principles that currently permeate the conceptualization of Popular Education, though the meaning attributed to Popular Education by them in that time do not correspond exactly to this meaning; 2) Simón Rodríguez and Antonio Carneiro Leão, even from different places, one in Venezuela, one in Brazil, expressed in his works thoughts with certain similarities regarding the idea of Popular Education in Latin America. Based on the question and hypotheses presented was adopted as a general objective: to analyze, through the comparative study of social thought and decolonial theory, the formulations of Popular Education in Simón Rodríguez and Antonio Carneiro Leão, with a view to its relationship with the context of Latin American. As specific objectives, were defined: a) to contextualize the whole works of Simón Rodríguez and Antonio Carneiro Leão, emphasizing the writings on education, particularly the statements that deal with the idea of Popular Education; b) to place the thought of the authors in historical context more general in their countries; c) to analyze the theoretical concepts of Simón Rodríguez (as example of Venezuelan thought) and compare them with the theoretical conceptions of Antônio Carneiro Lion (an example of Brazilian thought), to verify which convergent and divergent points on the idea of popular education; d) to understand the implications of the Popular Education proposal of Simón Rodríguez and Antonio Carneiro Leão for the Latin American educational movement. The theoretical-methodological research is based on the Cultural History (social representations and struggles representations), in Intellectual History (collective memory, mental utilizations), and Decolonial Theories (Externality). Preliminary results show that Simón Rodríguez and Carneiro Leão when pointed in the nineteenth and early twentieth century the need for cultural appreciation of the popular classes approach significantly conceptions of popular education nowadays. Also indicate a similarity between the Spanish-American and Luso-Brazilian colonial reality approaching these conceptions. Protected the historical nuances of the countries where were born and lived the authors studied, it was found that these comprehend education as an essential instrument for overcoming colonization and therefore consolidation of political, economic and culture independence of the continent. As you go into the work of the authors, under look even governed by Decolonial Theory, we identified that Liberalism, Positivism and Racial Theories produced in the Western Europe substantiated the intellectual thought of Simon Rodriguez and Antonio Carneiro Leão, but took on other dimensions to be thought among the experiences of the authors in the American continent. Sensitive to the suffering of a mixed population who could no longer live outside the parameters of modernity, these authors, highlighting education as a necessary instrument for political liberation, economic and cultural development of Latin America, they defend, in theory and in practice, an education project to be able to safeguard the Venezuelan and Brazilian of marks left by colonization.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Imageamento da porosidade através de perfis geofísicos de poço(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-01-27) MIRANDA, Anna Ilcéa Fischetti; ANDRADE, André José Neves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8388930487104926Porosity images are graphical representations of the lateral distribution of rock porosity estimated from well log data. We present a methodology to produce this geological image entirely independent of interpreter intervention, with an interpretative algorithm approach, which is based on two types of artificial neural networks. The first is based on neural competitive layer and is constructed to perform an automatic interpretation of the classical Pb - ΦN cross-plot, which produces the log zonation and porosity estimation. The second is a feed-forward neural network with radial basis function designed to perform a spatial data integration, which can be divided in two steps. The first refers to well log correlation and the second produces the estimation of lateral porosity distribution. This methodology should aid the interpreter in defining the reservoir geological model, and, perhaps more importantly, it should help him to efficiently develop strategies for oil or gas field development. The results or porosity images are very similar to conventional geological cross-sections, especially in a depositional setting dominated by clastics, where a color map scaled in porosity units illustrates the porosity distribution and the geometric disposition of geological layers along the section. The methodology is applied over actual well log data from the Lagunillas Formation, in the Lake Maracaibo basin, located in western Venezuela.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Segurança, imunogenicidade e eficácia protetora de duas doses da vacina RIX4414 contendo rotavírus atenuado de origem humana(2007-06) ARAÚJO, Eliete da Cunha; CLEMENS, Sue Ann C.; OLIVEIRA, Consuelo Silva de; JUSTINO, Maria Cleonice Aguiar; RUBIO, Pilar; GABBAY, Yvone Benchimol; SILVA, Veronilce Borges da; MASCARENHAS, Joana D'Arc Pereira; CAVALCANTE, Vânia Lúcia Noronha; CLEMENS, Ralf; GUSMÃO, Rosa Helena Porto; SANCHEZ, Nervo; MONTEIRO, Talita Antonia Furtado; LINHARES, Alexandre da CostaObjective: To determine the safety, immunogenicity and efficacy of two doses of rotavirus vaccine in healthy Brazilian infants. Methods: A randomized, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted in Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela. Infants received two oral doses of vaccine or placebo at 2 and 4 months of age, concurrently with routine immunizations, except for oral poliomyelitis vaccine (OPV). This paper reports results from Belém, Brazil, where the number of subjects per group and the viral vaccine titers were: 194 (104.7 focus forming units – FFU), 196 (105.2 FFU), 194 (105.8 FFU) and 194 (placebo). Anti-rotavirus (anti-RV) antibody response was assessed in 307 subjects. Clinical severity of gastroenteritis episodes was measured using a 20-point scoring system with a score of ≥ 11 defined as severe GE. Results: The rates of solicited general symptoms were similar in vaccine and placebo recipients. At 2 months after the second dose, a serum IgA response to RV occurred in 54.7 to 74.4% of vaccinees. No interference was seen in the immunogenicity of routine vaccines. Vaccine efficacy against any rotavirus gastroenteritis (RVGE) was 63.5% (95%CI 20.8-84.4) for the highest concentration (105.8 FFU). Efficacy was 81.5% (95%CI 44.5-95.4) against severe RVGE. At its highest concentration (105.8 FFU), RIX4414 provided 79.8% (95%CI 26.4-96.3) protection against severe RVGE by G9 strain. Conclusions: RIX4414 was highly immunogenic with a low reactogenicity profile and did not interfere with seroresponse to diptheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B and Hib antigens. Two doses of RIX4414 provided significant protection against severe GE caused by RV.
