Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise de viabilidade técnica da conservação de água no cilo produtivo de indústria de refrigerante(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-07) CUNHA, Bruno José Costa da; TEIXEIRA, Luiza Carla Girard Mendes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9773700229115395This work aims to formalize an engineering protocol containing technical procedures necessary to optimize the consumption of water in the beverage industry, through the evaluation of the potential of water conservation, determination of environmental and economic performance indicators, as well as the proposition of scenarios of water use. In order to explore the opportunities for water conservation, a water balance was carried out with the help of flow measurement methods. Water use analyzes were performed to determine areas and processes where there is significant potential for water savings. Based on the evaluations, investigations, recycling and reuse practices it was observed that the productive sector of the soft drink factory, especially the packaging stage, has the potential to reduce water consumption. The proposed scenarios can provide the company with a reduction in specific water demand from 2.53 to 1.92m³/m³refrigerants, reducing the company's groundwater abstraction by 24.1%. Thus, considering the average production of refrigerants, the daily water savings can be up to 81.4m³, while the company's specific effluent generation can be reduced by 36.7 m³ / d, equivalent to 24, 1% reduction. In addition, the operating costs of the ETE and ETA can be reduced by R$ 39,272.83 per year, representing a savings of 24.5%. Thus, this study proved that water reuse can be successfully implemented in the soft drink industry as a sustainable approach to industrial water management, since the engineering protocol established in this work proved adequate for the collection of information necessary for the control and optimization of water use.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Dimensionamento de barragem de acumulação de água para sistema de irrigação de plantio de cacau no sudeste do estado do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-04-25) SILVA, Cleveland Gustavo Canto; MESQUITA, André Luiz Amarante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1331279630816662The Amazon region has high water potential and large natural reservoirs of water existing in the most diverse forms (springs, aquifers, lakes, etc.), however the distribution and access to the resource by the population are unequal, making the demand for water much greater than its availability in certain regions, which leads to water stress. In the Amazon, family farming is a relevant activity in regional sustainable development, and demands part of this resource, which is a limiting factor for regional development. Faced with this reality, water capture, storage and conservation technologies are used, with dams being one of the available technologies that play an important role in the democratization of water use. Therefore, through this research, we seek to design a dam that will serve as an artificial reservoir for water storage, intended for agricultural consumption of cocoa plantation on an agro-family scale on a farm located in the municipality of Novo Repartimento, to optimize its cultivation cycles, combined with the use of new technologies that use local resources and renewable energy sources available in the Amazon. For this, the water demand necessary for the agricultural activity of the enterprise was evaluated, comprising the Water Balance of the location, as well as delimiting the watershed of direct contribution of the dam, allowing the dimensioning of the artificial reservoir to meet the volume of water needed in the activity.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Influência das mudanças climáticas no balanço hídrico dos lagos de abastecimento de Belém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-05-06) SILVA, Fabíola Souza da; BLANCO, Claudio José Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8319326553139808Climate change, projected for global water resources, drastic changes in patterns of distribution and availability of water. So, the objective of this study was to investigate the impacts that climate change will have on the local hydrological cycle. And analyze if the lakes Bolonha and Água Preta, responsible for supplying part of the city of Belém-PA, will be able to provide water to future demand. Then, the water balance of the lakes was projected until 2100, using the GCMs MIROC5 and HADGEM2-ES aligned to the RCM Eta, from two greenhouse gas emission scenarios RCPs 4.5 and 8.5. It was necessary to carry out the projection of the population of the city of Belém-PA until the year 2100, using the Gompertz model. The results projected a large reduction in the volume of precipitation in the rainy months compared to historical data; and for the summer period, the projections point to drier months than normal. The surface evaporation projection showed an increase in the evaporated surface volume. The consequences of the projections on the future water balance of the lakes were a high reduction in the volume of both, interfering in the recovery of their maximum capacities. The projections of future scenarios for the lakes showed that the actual production of COSANPA will not be able to meet the future demand of society, causing a situation of water scarcity until the end of the century, will lead to the need to increase the pumping of water to the lakes. In this way, understanding how changes in hydrological variables will affect water availability is an important tool in the quest to mitigate impacts and carry out long term planning and management of this resource.
