Sala Odeon: contribuições para a História do Cinema na Amazônia: a recepção e a exibição cinematográficas no início do século XX
(Universidade Federal do Tocantins, 2020) MELO, Ana Claudia da Cruz; SILVA, Carmen Lucia Souza da; GRACIO, Felipe Giuseppe de Albuquerque
In this article, we present the results of the research that focused on the history of the Odeon amusement room, built in Belém do Pará, Brazil, at the beginning of the 20th century. In the light of reception studies, the research aimed to raise elements that allowed inferences about the profile of the public and the nature of the films exhibited during the 1910s, in the context of an Amazon city, which was experiencing economic and migratory impacts of the First Cycle of Rubber Exploitation (1850 to 1920). For the operationalization of the methodology of the studies, we visited the memories of the pioneer of Spanish cinema, Ramón de Baños Martínez, about his period in the capital of Pará, hired as a projectionist, camera operator and photographer. We also sought to gather information about Odeon's programming, in the pages of the newspaper O Estado do Pará, a periodical founded in 1911. Theoretical-methodological movement guided by Bernardet and Mascarello, regarding the need for research on the History of Brazilian Cinema to go beyond the field of film production. The investigation revealed, among other aspects, that even given the predominance of showing imported, European and North American films, the public was always eager for national and, above all, local productions, applauded after facing long lines and in late-night sessions. It also reveals the colossal audiences of pornographic films, exclusively for male audiences, sold as a miraculous elixir for the problems of sexuality.

As telenovelas brasileiras como tecnologias sociais de hipervisibilidade da identidade de gênero e sexualidade
(Universidade Federal do Acre, 2020-12) MELO, Ana Claudia da Cruz
Understood as social technologies of hypervisible of gender identity and sexuality, Brazilian telenovelas have promoted, for decades in Brazil, fields of germination of moral issues, mobilized social practices and are responsible for an incalculable production of sex discourses. In this work, we present how this dynamics materialized through letters from readers of Jornal do Brasil (JB), between the years 1978 and 2000, where viewers, moved by the first LGBT representations – issue and/or characters - in telenovelas in the country, led an extensive debate on censorship, new ways of control, freedom of speech and post-military dictatorship democracy. We also demonstrate how this debate sustained and still sustains the arguments for issuing Government Age Rating Ordinances to this day. To track these controversies caused by the telenovelas, we considered the methodological recommendations by Bruno Latour, which proposes to give voice to the actors (groups, spokespersons, anti-groups) of the discussions. That is, try to identify their origin, motivations and controversies. From them, we demonstrate discursivities, statements and gender performatives, according to compressions by Foucault, Butler, Preciado and Eribon. We bring results of analyzes as basis to understand that, as social technologies, as Brazilian telenovelas have in sex one of their main instruments and support.

Percursos formativos da Museologia na Amazônia paraense
(Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, 2022) SILVA, Carmen Lucia Souza da
With the objective of celebrating 90 years of instruction in Museology in Brazil, the article presents, with emphasis on the context of the Amazon of Pará, formative paths that contributed to the field of Museology studies in the country, starting in the 19th century. It traces this trajectory through discursivities and practices that constitute an ideal of a museum and its importance, wrapped in teaching and research actions, still in the 19th century Brazilian society. It goes on to visit the some landmarks that would, at the end of the first decade of the 21st century, result in the creation of the first course of Bachelor's Degree in Museology in the North of the country, linked to the Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA), amid the expansion of Brazilian higher education institutions and the insertion of a national policy to value culture and heritage. It concludes by demonstrating current paths taken by the Museology degree in the region.

Museus e Patrimônio: Pensamento Cibertecnológico e Cultura Digital
(Universidade de Brasília, 2021-12) SILVA, Carmen Lucia Souza da; MELO, Ana Claudia da Cruz
In this work, we present a reflection on how digital technologies have changed the way we experience museums and cultural heritage in the last decades and even in a context of social isolation motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic. We revisit the ideas and thoughts of theorists such as Wiener, Haraway, Pre ciado and Levy to reflect, from cybernetics to cyborg and datacentric culture, on these transformations when considering the sub ject-technology-society interrelationship. For that we also point out formative or historical landmarks, in Brazil and in the world, which culminate in a range of resources that expand memories and museological spaces with the impulse of cyber technologies. Advents that are at the base of what is called digital cul ture, where society is remodeled, affected by technological addenda. We also bring results from cartographies of spaces on the internet of Brazilian museum institutions, carried out between 2018 and 2020, which signal how we are in an immersion process in digital culture.

Besides presenting the Internet experience of the Urban Transcodification Project on virtualisation of historical monuments, which took place in Belém – PA, this paper aims to provide a theoretical reflection about how a socio-technical order has been effectively changing not only the interaction and production ways, but also how this order deals with the experience in effective urban spaces, which are pervaded by Public Art related heritage seen as spaces being affected by process of musealisation. The present paper also discusses the social use of heritage and the digital and virtual media, being as way to socialise information and knowledge or to consolidate a space that allows the access to the memory and experience of cultural heritage in cities. This theoretical-reflexive approach is based on researchers like Canclini (2006) who deals with historial monuments in Latin America, Levy (1999) and his issues on deterritorialisation, and Castells (2003) and FaustoNeto (2008) who argue about the socio-technical dimension.

Gilberto Freyre entre o frevo e o samba no carnaval do Recife
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-11) MENEZES NETO, Hugo
Recife's carnival has always been of interest to Gilberto Freyre, who worried particularly about the influence of the rhythm and the practices of Rio de Janeiro's festivity on that of Recife. This article examines this theme by relating it to Freyre's ideas about the formation of Brazilian society. It considers the sociological critique of Freyre's important works in order to analyze how the author locates representations of Recife and Rio de Janeiro in opposite poles of the pair tradition and modernity. The relationship between frevo and samba provides a new perspective to Freyre's recurrent and significant discussions on the themes of 'adaptation', 'transregional influences' and 'balance of opposites'.
