Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18053The displacement of people, whether voluntary or forced, is not a recent phenomenon in history. Over the past decade, the refugee movement has been classified as a crisis due to the intensification of migratory flows and the complexity of the rights involved in the resettlement process. Given that education plays a fundamental role in adaptation and social success, the current context demands an in-depth reflection on the educational process of refugees in higher education, addressing not only their admission but also the conditions necessary for their retention and academic success. In this regard, the behavioral-analytical concept of a Nurturing Environment (N.E.), which emphasizes the positive impact of a stimulating environment on individual well-being and development, was used in this research as the primary theoretical framework. The study was structured into four chapters. The first chapter conducted a bibliometric review on refugee education, revealing that scientific production in this field is still poorly standardized and systematized, with an emerging chronological trajectory and underexplored themes. The second chapter presents semi-structured interviews with refugees enrolled in higher education and analyzes the data through the lens of N.E. The findings indicated the presence of three out of the four theoretical categories and highlighted shared themes that act as risk and protective factors in the educational experience. The third chapter involved an institutional mapping through a case study approach, also analyzed based on the concept of N.E. The results revealed that the existing regulatory framework remains incipient and is primarily focused on minimizing socially and biologically toxic conditions. The main contribution of this research lies in the scientific, empirical, and institutional diagnosis of refugee education, which serves as a foundation for proposing a theoretical model to operationalize refugee support. This model aims to enable effective intervention and provide insights for evaluating and developing institutional policies related to refugee inclusion.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Ambiente NutridorRefugiadosRefugiadosInclusãoNurturing environmentRefugeesHigher EducationInclusionAmbiente Nutridor e Educação de Refugiados: Análise da Experiência na Educação SuperiorNurturing Environment and Refugee Education: Analysis of the Experience in Higher EducationDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIAAnálise Experimental do ComportamentoECOETOLOGIAPSICOLOGIA EXPERIMENTAL
