In the Metropolitan Region of Belém, concerns about human and material losses due to fires have increased significantly. From 2014 to 2024, 64,032 fires were recorded in Pará, mainly in commercial and residential buildings caused by overloaded electrical installations and illegal connections. In wooden buildings, the impacts are more disastrous, due to factors such as the lack of insulation between one building and another, affecting dozens of houses in a short period of time, affecting several people in their socioeconomic conditions. The disorderly growth of irregular constructions in the outskirts contributed as relevant factors to the risk of fires. The research analyzed the risk perception of urban fires in the municipality of Ananindeua-PA, through the analysis of the sociodemographic profile of residents, with a descriptive, retrospective and exploratory study on the vulnerabilities and risk perception of communities in Ananindeua-PA. The approach was quantitative and qualitative through the use of questionnaires for populations in risk areas and interviews with community representatives to assess the risk perception of fires. Bibliographies and official statistics were reviewed to define the causes of urban fires and obtain subsidies for the preparation of the final products, which were an interactive booklet and a map of the hydrants in the areas studied, to be disseminated to the population.
