Acesso em: .https://repositorio.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/2011/15933This thesis shows the results of an ethnographical research did with the locals of the Maracujá island, focusing on their proximity to Belém City and having as locus an area that begins in the Açaí Port, located in the Jurunas District in Belem and goes up to the Maracujá island, enphasizing in this relation aspects concerning the daily movement between the banks. The approach of the research develops the notions of flow and border, pointing out also the fixity in the home place.
