Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/17783Preventing injuries is extremely important in the sporting context to reduce absences from training/competitions, reduce medical costs, decreased performance and changes in the athlete's psychosocial aspects. In this sense, prevention protocols with a comprehensive warm-up approach have gained relevance in the literature. The general objective of this study was to verify the effect of FIFA 11+ in preventing injuries in under 19 volleyball players. The specific objectives were: to characterize the injuries in terms of anatomical location, mechanism, diagnosis and severity; evaluate well being, subjective perception of recovery, subjective perception of effort, jumping data and isometric strength of the knee extensor and flexor muscles between the groups. The research used a descriptive, analytical approach and was characterized as a cluster randomized controlled trial. The sample consisted of 34 female athletes, from the under-19 category, from two teams in the city of Belém/PA. 17 participants were exposed to the FIFA 11+ program and 17 were part of the control group, following the normal warm-up routine. The protocol was applied for three months by the researchers and the injuries were diagnosed by a medical health professional or physiotherapist. The data were analyzed with JASP and based on the intention to treat, the effect of the intervention was made through qualitative analysis with injury description tables and epidemiological measures and to verify the effect of the intervention on psychosocial and performance parameters, if the linear mixed model. FIFA11+ had a positive effect on preventing injuries among under-19 volleyball players, the intervention group had 50% fewer injuries compared to the control group, with less severity even with a significant difference in longer exposure time in minutes during the sessions.ptAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/AtletasPrevenção de lesõesVoleibolAthletesInjury preventionVolleyballO efeito do FIFA 11+ para prevenir lesões em membros inferiores em atletas de voleibol: um ensaio controlado randomizado por clusterDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::EDUCACAO FISICAESPORTE, ATIVIDADE FÍSICA E SAÚDEBIODINÂMICA DO MOVIMENTO HUMANO
