The categories of analysis of this research were: human trafficking , trafficking of women ,gender, social class , race / ethnicity . This study aimed to know how the methodological perspective of articulation of the categories social class , race / ethnicity, gender has been crafted in the dissertations and theses that have as an object of study trafficking in persons and trafficking in women . The research conducted was anchored in the qualitative approach with an emphasis on literature review and analysis of works on the categories and contents of dissertations and theses. A universe of twenty (20) dissertations and one (01) PhD thesis, thirteen (13 ) dissertations and thesis were selected . The methodological approach guided by historical materialism dialectical articulation bound by social class , gender, race / ethnicity allowed to observe the progress and limits of that methodological approach in examining studies on trafficking in persons and women in Brazil .
