Even four decades after his death, these analyses are constantly revisited to address specific issues of neoliberalism, in line with what was developed in The Birth of Biopolitics. Foucault's reception was especially fruitful in Italian philosophy, marked by a reflection that articulates politics and life. Among the thinkers of biopolitical reception, Roberto Esposito stands out for the care and acuity with which he approaches the subject and for his concept of “immunity,” which he sees as the key to understanding the complex relationship between the biological and the political.
