Acesso em:https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18694Reports of orthorexic and disordered eating behavior and behavioral inflexibility in vegetarian and non-vegetarian participants of different religions were analyzed. Participants completed the characterization form, the questionnaire on orthorexic behaviors - ORTO-15, the Scale of Disordered Eating Attitudes - EAAT, along with the questionnaire on assessment of inflexible behavior, the Rigidity Scale. Of the 205 participants, 85.6% had reports indicative of orthorexic behavior, with male prevalence, 16% had reports of eating disordered attitudes, with female prevalence, and vegetarians tended to have higher scores than omnivores, there was a correlation between inflexible behavior and eating disordered attitudes. Adventists were more inclined to be vegetarians than omnivorous, participants without religion were less likely to have orthorexic behaviors, eating disordered attitudes and behavioral inflexibility when compared to Adventists and Catholics. Further studies investigating eating behavior and its control variables are suggested for a broader understanding of the phenomenon and possible interventions.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Comportamento alimentarEating behaviorReligiãoReligionInflexibilidade comportamentalBehavioral inflexibilityUniversity studentsEstudantes universitáriosAnálise de algumas variáveis envolvidas no comportamento alimentarDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIACNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::NUTRICAO::ANALISE NUTRICIONAL DE POPULACAOProcessos Comportamentais ComplexosNEUROCIÊNCIAS E COMPORTAMENTO
