The main objective is to analyze the importance of riverine living spaces in that city and their relationship to urban policies materialized at the local level. Through bibliographic, documental and field search (record life histories, semi-structured interviews and systematic observation), it was possible to find that riverine living spaces within Marabá city coexist with the new trends of riverside appropriation.
