Given the historical complexity that characterizes the Brazilian economy - from the coffee-based period to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic - it is crucial to deepen the understanding of how existing literature interprets the interrelationship between deindustrialization, economic growth, and the role of the real exchange rate. The main objective of this study is to conduct a thorough theoretical and conceptual analysis of this relationship. The adopted methodology consists of an extensive theoretical review and analysis, organized into two complementary chapters of a conceptual nature. The results consolidate the understanding of Brazilian deindustrialization as a premature and heterogeneous phenomenon, highlighting the determining role of real exchange rate appreciation. The research validates heterodox approaches and points to new methodological directions for future studies on the subject.ptAcesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/DesindustrializaçãoTaxa de câmbioCrescimento econômicoDeindustrializationExchange rateEconomic growthTaxa de câmbio real, crescimento econômico e desindustrializaçãoDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ADMINISTRACAO:ORGANIZAÇÕES GOVERNAMENTAIS, NÃO GOVERNAMENTAIS E DESENVOLVIMENTO REGIONALGESTÃO ORGANIZACIONAL
