Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/17949This research aimed to foster education in antiracist pedagogy for the future professional practices of undergraduate students in the Pedagogy program at UFPA – Belém Campus, through a workshop that used comic books as a methodological support. For this objtective a workshop script “Sankoficina: histórias em quadrinhos na construção de práticas educacionais antirracistas no Ensino Superior” was developed. The methodology adopted was applied in nature, with a qualitative approach and exploratory research, including bibliographic and documentary review stages. An in depth bibliographic review was essential for defining the themes of the script, which address dimensions of valuing and recognizing the historical and cultural diversity of Black populations in Brazil, including debates on whiteness. Aligned with the proposed themes, the curation of the comic books prioritized national publications authored by Black creators. The selected titles were: Mukanda Tiodora (2022) Marcelo D’Salete, Confinada (2021) Leandro Assis and Triscila Oliveira, Carolina (2016) João Pinheiro and Sirlene Barbosa. As a formative pathway, the workshop sought to stimulate critical and reflective thinking grounded in antiracist education, using comic books to support the activities. The synchronous and asynchronous stages were carried out with 12 participating students, and the data collected indicate that the experience was meaningful and enriched the participants’ education. Regarding the use of comic books, the majority of evaluations were positive, highlighting their potential to deepen discussions through diverse narratives, as well as the participants’ interest in using them in their future practices. The expert panel, in relation to the workshop script, confirmed the effectiveness of comic books in supporting the understanding of the topic and indicated the feasibility of implementing the workshop in non-formal educational settings.
