In this angle, we give privilege to the “Benefit of Continued Provision” (Beneficio de Prestação Continuada - BPC), the benefit component of social protection non contributive of the social assistance politics, considered this way, as a important mechanism capable of insuring the survival of the people in a situation of social and economics vulnerability, although it’s not only fit to this particular purpose, as indicated by the laws that guide it’s operationalization. In the development of the research we seek to know better the elderly population, the integration of these subjects in other social programs. It is also questioned, if the BPC has been capable of promoting autonomy, improving their sociability, their access to basic health services and the insurance of food for the elderly benefited, highlighting how they consider the recipiency of this income. Our goal is focused in knowing the social results, the reflexes which the recipiency of the BPC is capable of generating in the lives of the elderly of Belém-Pará, given sequence to this perspective, investigate e get to know, on this line of research, ways of the effectiveness of social protection of the elderly in this city.
