From this perspective, the population is on alert and the impacts influence risk response behavior. This individual and collective behavior in the face of disasters is linked to risk perception. Given the need to present content on natural disasters such as floods and notions of civil defense in the educational context in the county of Tucuruí-PA, aiming to collaborate with this understanding, this research aimed to evaluate the community's perception of risk school of E.M.E.F Plácido de Castro living in areas susceptible to flooding. The methodology used was based on documentary and bibliographical research on the theory of risk perception, an analysis of the Pedagogical Politic Project (PPP) of the school and application of semi-structured questionnaires to 41 students from EJA and 12 teachers from school for information on risk perception. As results, it was observed that the PPP the school takes care regarding the content taught since the document seeks to follow the norms and annual planning for teaching, However, does not present elements focused on the subject of natural disasters, risks or environmental education. Regarding perception, 71% of students interviewed experienced risky situations, 56% experienced situations with floods, 68% recognize the causes of floods and 54% have already suffered some type of damage from floods. The result of teachers' risk perception showed that most only bring the subject of risks and natural disasters to the classroom if this is included in the content to be taught. However, teachers understand the importance of working on environmental education and topics such as natural disasters within the classroom.
