It highlights the importance of specific public policies for small-scale farmers, aiming to strengthen sustainable production, food security, and climate resilience. In Mozambique, the SUSTENTA program seeks to integrate family farmers into the market by promoting more climate-resilient agricultural practices. In Brazil, PRONAF and the Plano Safra, including PRONAF Agroecology, play a central role in supporting diversified and sustainable family farming. Despite differences in climatic and institutional contexts, both countries recognize rural credit as a key tool for strengthening family farming in the face of environmental challenges. However, there are still obstacles. In Brazil, barriers include limited access to credit, technical assistance, and regional inequalities. In Mozambique, the challenges are deeper, involving poor rural infrastructure, low availability of credit, and limited access to technology. The study concludes that it is necessary to improve rural credit policies, integrate them with other rural development initiatives, adopt innovative financing models, and implement monitoring systems to assess the impact of these policies. This research contributes to academic discussions and provides practical guidance for policymakers and organizations involved in the development of family farming.ptAcesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Agricultura familiarPolíticas públicasMudanças climáticasInterfaces entre os programas de agricultura familiar de Moçambique-Sustenta e Brasil-PRONAF: estudo comparado das linhas de créditos rurais para agricultura familiar no âmbito das mudanças climáticasDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ECONOMIA::ECONOMIA AMBIENTALDESENVOLVIMENTO ECONÔMICO, REGIONAL E AGRÁRIODESENVOLVIMENTO SOCIOAMBIENTAL
