The methodological course has a qualitative, bibliographic, documentary and field character. Specifically the research is characterized as a case study, with emphasis on an ethnomethodological approach, and the use of ethnographic research techniques. It was also decided to conduct field research through data collection in semi-structured and open interviews. The research subjects were: students, teachers, teachers and members of the board of the searched band. The results of the research present the profile of a band from the city of Vigia as a type of institution of socio-cultural value that has been built historically besides playing an important educational role.
