It intends to sharpen the feasibility of using local history in history classes as a contributing instrument to the process of building historical school knowledge. The proposal is to highlight the relevance of the subject History for the production of historical awareness from the school, understood as a privileged space for teaching/learning and also for the production of knowledge by cultivating the understanding of local history through narratives and memories of common subjects. Therefore, it will seek to carry out bibliographical research, photographs, analysis of normative documents and interviews with different subjects that make up the school space. The data obtained will allow us to analyze the dynamics that involve the practice of the history discipline.
