Acesso em:.1982-5374https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/14091This article analyzes the request for land made in 1706 by tiodozia da Rocha to the Portuguese Crown in the captaincy of Siará Grande, in order to identify the strategies used by women and men in obtaining land, from reading the Sesmarias Letters and identifying the women who requested sesmarias to the King under the legislation referring to the Sesmarial System, taking as a theoretical contribution the Gender Studies, by understanding that men and women, women and women are interconnected through multiple interest relationships, constituting intricate networks of power.
