Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/17929This research aims to analyze the communication work conducted on the official Instagram of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), focusing on ethics, alterity, and social inclusion. The choice of Instagram is based on the fact that this social network is an important tool for disseminating information and because it is the one where UFPA has more followers. To achieve the general objective, which is to verify the presence/absence of ethics, alterity and social issues in the communication developed by UFPA’s Communication Office (Ascom) on Instagram, and also to respond to the reflections that guide the research, namely, "Does the communication disseminated by UFPA’s Ascom on Instagram address ethics and alterity, and what are the challenges and gaps identified in these practices to promote social inclusion?", structured questionnaires were administered to three general directors (including former and current managers) of UFPA’s Communication Office. In addition, structured questionnaires were applied to obtain samples of perspectives from the public that accesses UFPA’s Instagram, including teachers, technicians and students. The methodology used included, also, bibliographic survey, with analysis of texts and documents. It is expected that the results will serve as a basis to improve UFPA’s digital communication work, strengthening interaction and engagement with the academic community and society in general.
