Acesso em:.2179-7536https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/15197The aim of this article is to construct an historical analysis in order to understand the economic relationship between the historical phenomena that occurred during the Military Government and more recently, during the government of (former) President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Accordingly, the article seeks to focus its analysis on understanding the relationship between the electricity sector and the mining industry in the Brazilian Amazon, especially in Eastern Amazon. The main conclusion is that both the Brazilian local economic logic, which have impacted (in) directly on the development of the electricity sector and in the mining industry throughout the country.
