However, neurocognitive changes associated with HIV (HAND) remain at a significant prevalence, even in individuals using antiretroviral drugs. The present study aimed to evaluate possible cognitive deficits in HIV-positive patients and characterize the clinical profile of neurocognitive manifestations in the Northern region of Brazil. 30 HIVpositive patients were evaluated, treated at the Health Care Center for Acquired Infectious Diseases (CASA DIA), in Belém do Pará.
