Thus, the purpose of this work is to reflect, from the considerations of critical discourse analysis (CDA) and multifunctional Linguistic theory by Halliday (2004), about howthe representations of homosexual prejudice are in reports from Veja and Época magazines. Considering the dialectics relationship between language and society, there are in these reports semiotic elements that present social relations and cultural values, reinforcing society's taboos concerning sexual rights.Acesso AbertoRepresentação do preconceito homossexualDiscursoPrática socialRepresentations of homosexual prejudiceDiscourseSocial practicesDiscurso e prática social: a representação do preconceito homossexualDiscourse and social practice: representations of homosexual prejudiceArtigo de Periódicohttp://dx.doi.org/10.18542/nra.v1i2.6287
