Through an inductive methodology, an analysis of official documentary records about the case was carried out, bringing to light the contours of the social conflict that involves such an event. It was sought to unravel the event and the dimensions of the violence used, observing the way in which violence against black men took on political aspects that find meaning in the local and general contexts.
