Acesso em: .https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18172Ethnoterminology aims to study the terms observed in the specialty discourses of a traditional community. Therefore, this study aims to present questions related to the initial elaboration of a bilingual ethnoterminological glossary, based on the terms present in the semantic field of fauna that emerge from the speeches of specialists called in Paresi society as otyahaliti 'wise men', represented in this study from the figure of the Iyawitseko (Hunter); Zeratiyatane (Singer); Zakainakatyare (Oral narrative teller); Waidyatare (Pajé); Zoimiazawenakitsasehalo (Midwife) and Zaotyakitsatidyoye (Teachers), considered excellent holders of traditional knowledge of the Paresi language and culture (Arawak). Paresi is an indigenous language spoken by a community of the same name, belonging to the Aruák linguistic family, spoken by a community of approximately 3,000 speakers (BRANDÂO, 2014), 90% of which are speakers of the language and mostly bilingual, located in the state of Mato Grosso, in the Amazonian cerrado, approximately 500 km from the capital Cuiabá. This study is anchored in the theoretical-methodological assumptions of Socioterminology in the light of the thought of Gaudin (1993) and Faulstich (2012); and Ethnoterminology established in Costa e Gomes (2011) and Costa (2013; 2017), which are suitable for the elaboration of the proposed glossary. The data for analysis were obtained through the elicitation process from the application of questionnaires with images related to the fauna, carried out in field trips to communities where the language is spoken and using the language database available in the Fieldworks computational software Language Explore (Flex). This study will help in the process of describing and linguistic documentation of Brazilian indigenous languages within the scope of Ethnoterminology, as well as contributing to the insertion of data in the database of the language under analysis, as a way of registering, documenting, preserving and valuing linguistic knowledge. and sociocultural aspects existing in indigenous languages.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/EtnoterminologiaFaunaGlossárioParesiEthnoterminologyGlossaryProposta inicial de um glossário etnoterminológico da fauna em Paresi (Aruák)- PortuguêsDissertaçãoCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::LINGUISTICA::LINGUISTICA APLICADAANÁLISE, DESCRIÇÃO E DOCUMENTAÇÃO DAS LÍNGUAS NATURAISESTUDOS LINGUÍSTICOS
