Recent research on the selection by metacontingencies evaluated the effects of cultural consequences of different kinds of behavioral consequences. School items were used as cultural consequence (CC), with the information that them would be donated to a public school for the researcher’s responsible at the end of the experiment. Participants were invited to attend the ceremony. It is observed, in these experimental arrangements, the cultural consequence (school item) is released to the microculture after the trial session, but delivered to the recipient (beneficiary school) more belatedly and therefore could not be effective in selecting interlaced patterns behaviors. However, survey results showed an increase in the likelihood of recurrence of interlocking behavioral contingencies and aggregate products as a function of cultural consequence’s production (school item). The literature in this area argues that the intra-group verbal behavior can serve as an additional and important immediate consequence, putting the behavior partially under control of late consequences. Thus, the objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of cultural consequences in the selection of IBCs and APs in the presence and absence of intragroup verbal interactions, in order to verify that the verbal interactions between participants have function of a verbal operant result and additional contingent to answer individual interlaced. In addition, the aim was to assess the maintenance of interlocking behaviors under suspension of cultural consequence. Forty participants were divided into two microcultures. The task consisted of rows of choices in a 10x10 matrix. The results of microculture 1 showed no selection of interlocking behaviors. Already the results of microculture 2 demonstrated selection of target interlocking and maintenance in condition A (selection of verbal interactions and IBCs ) and B (CC suspension and verbal interactions ), but this finding was not repeated in the conditions A' (selection of IBCs and verbal interactions) and C (CC suspension and absence of verbal interactions). The results pointed verbal interactions as an important additional consequence is associated with cultural consequence, in this study it contains two dimensions. The absence of IBCs and APs selection is attributed to changes in the procedure regarding studies with the same protocol, as the information about the non production of school items were not available to participants.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/MetacontingênciaMetacontingencyConsequência culturalCultural consequenceInterações verbaisVerbal interactionsEfeito de consequências culturais e interações verbais intragrupo na seleção e manutenção de contingências comportamentais entrelaçadasEffects of cultural consequences and intra-group verbal interactions in the selection and maintenance of interlocked behavioral contingenciesDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIAProcessos Comportamentais ComplexosPSICOLOGIA EXPERIMENTAL
