The modifications of urban spaces through city development and/or growth can exert pressure on the urban environment, resulting in fire risks in urban areas. Understanding the risks for urban management and planning is of fundamental importance, providing necessary information to prevent, mitigate, and respond to emergencies. The municipality of Marabá, located in the southeastern mesoregion of Pará state, is a city that has three urban centers called nuclei. These spaces are divided into consolidated and consolidating sectors, which include Unbuilt Urban Gaps that, if mismanaged, can lead to fires. From 2017 to 2021, the municipality registered 1,652 fire incidents in the Integrated Control System of Fire Brigade Occurrences, which is responsible for emergency response by the 5th Military Fire Brigade Group, the organization representing the Military Fire Brigade of Pará in the municipality. This study mapped the Unbuilt Urban Gaps that, during the dry season in Marabá, reveal themselves as areas prone to fire incidents, generating risks in the central urban areas of the city. The findings indicate the presence of fire-prone areas during the dry season in the municipality, and the research enables risk management and contributes to urban planning in the municipality through cartographic production that reveals Unbuilt Urban Gaps with fire incidence.
