For this, a conversation was held with professionals of a project of health of the child and adolescent of a university hospital in Belém, state of Pará, Brazil. The choice of the conversation wheel was the opportunity to produce an open dialogue, extracting more information from the participants, placing them in the position of protagonist in the exchange of knowledge. The results obtained point to a medicalization of the learning problems, since the evaluation criteria in the service, still based on DSM IV, are seen as the main means for the diagnosis of ADDH. ADDH is seen by the participating professionals as a neurological disorder, but differ regarding the use of methylphenidate for the treatment of this pathology. Thus, knowing the discourses of health professionals in relation to ADDH is relevant to identify the medicalization of education in progress and, thus, develop strategies of resistance to this process.Acesso Abertohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.pt_BRTranstorno de Déficit de Atenção e HiperatividadeMedicalizaçãoMetilfenidatoAttention Deficit Disorder with HyperactivityMedicalizationMethylphenidateOs discursos de profissionais da saúde acerca do Transtorno de Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade (TDAH)The discourse of healthcare providers about attention and hypertability deficit disorder (ADHD)Artigo de Periódico10.18310/2446-4813.2017v3n3p222-229
