Acesso em: .https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18728This work aims to carry out an ethnographic and historical analysis of the processes that led to the emergence and consolidation of the reggae scene in Belém do Pará, understanding its actors, spaces, social practices and political actions, navigating the entire universe that permeates this scene. To this end, the definitions of musical scenes proposed by culture researcher Will Straw (1991) will be used as a theoretical basis, as well as the concepts of José Magnani (2001; 2003; 2005) regarding an analysis category called “Piece”, which presents itself as a familiar place for a social group that, sometimes, do not know each other, but recognize each other as “massa regueira”, active members, participants of what I call the Belenense reggae scene, which will serve as a basis for analyzing the interests of actors I had contact with.
