Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/17885This research, guided by the research line of territorial dynamics, is an investigation whose object of study is the daily life of the Nasa indigenous people in the city of Popayán, Cauca, Colombia, located in the southwest of the country. These indigenous people are the third largest ethnic group in Colombia, their native language is Nasa Yuwe and they generally live in protected areas. In this context, the general objective of this work was to learn about the daily life of the Nasa indigenous people in the urban space of the city of Popayán. This research was born out of the need to find out whether these indigenous people still preserve and practice their customs, as well as to investigate the causes or reasons that motivated this population to move to live in urban spaces. In order to identify the territorial dynamics of the Nasa indigenous people, guiding questions were formulated: what are the consequences of the arrival of ancestral peoples in urban spaces? How do the Nasa indigenous people relate and adapt to the city? How does this affect the urban life of the Nasa indigenous people? What uses and customs are affected by being in the urban space? In view of this, the main hypothesis is that the Nasa indigenous people struggle to survive as an indigenous people despite having to live in an urban space, whose theoretical basis is Lefebvre's dialectical method that analyzes urban space in three dimensions: conceived, lived and perceived. The study used a qualitative methodology with a participatory method, in which semi-structured interviews were carried out with leaders, ordinary people, young men and women to find out, from different perspectives, what life is like in the urban space for Nasa indigenous people. Similarly, cartography workshops were held to identify their perception of the urban space they inhabit. In the results of this research, it was possible to identify that the Nasa indigenous people who live in the city of Popayán began their life in the urban space with some difficulties, but that, over time, they have adapted. In addition, it was identified that they still practice traditional medicine, sew some fabrics, practice some rituals, and some members of the indigenous people speak their native language and wear their traditional clothing. In addition, the indigenous people carry out community and territorial governance processes. As a general consideration, it can be said that this group brings its culture to the spaces in which it develops its territorial dynamics. In addition, there is a need for public policies that accompany indigenous peoples who migrate to urban spaces to adapt and strengthen their culture, since policies are usually designed without the ethnic differentiation that cities have today.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/CidadeEspaço vividoCotidianoPovo indígena NasaColômbiaCityLived spaceDaily lifeNasa indigenous peopleColombiaCotidiano dos indígenas da Nasa na cidade de Popayán, Cauca, ColômbiaDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::GEOGRAFIADINÂMICAS TERRITORIAIS NA AMAZÔNIAORGANIZAÇÃO E GESTÃO DO TERRITÓRIO
