The aim of the study is to understand the new competencies developed by women in leadership positions within this institution, with a focus on shared leadership. The methodology employed is qualitative, based on semistructured interviews with 24 female police leaders selected for their experience and relevance to the topic. The study utilized MAXQDA 24.6 for data analysis, following a thematic approach that identified categories related to female leadership practices, such as courage, confidence, competitiveness, control, compassion, commitment, creativity, and charisma. The results indicate that female police officers possess unique skills, such as empathy and resilience, which foster a culture of shared leadership.
