In this case, it was implemented a pilot project in an alumina refinery, located in Barcarena in Para state, in a bauxite stacking movable machine, which had a system of data communication via radio, where many communication failures occurred due to electromagnetic interference, RFI, etc., prejudicing the process of production of the refinery. As an alternative, it will be presented the use of a technology more immune to interference which can improve the performance of the system for communication between equipment. This is the technology PLC - Power Line Communication, which is full-duplex and uses OFDM modulation, which reduces the undesirable effect of interference.
