Therefore, sustainable development should be recognized as an ideology, something that is part of a broader ideological system. It can not therefore be understood as a legal principle. It is believed that this ideal is not in a valid legal basis for dealing with contemporary social and environmental problems, interpreting them legally. By contrast, environmental sustainability, although derived from sustainable development, contains conceptual autonomy.
