Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18065This dissertation aims to analyze the knowledge experienced by the students of Colares Island-PA, in the Salgado Region, and understand how this local knowledge can be integrated into the formal contents of History teaching at the Norma Guilhon State School. The proposal seeks to articulate this knowledge with the historical and cultural heritage, promoting more contextualized and meaningful pedagogical practices that value the students' sociocultural experiences through heritage education. The proposal allowed for the exploration of the relationships between Colares Island and the colonization process of the Amazon, with an emphasis on the indigenous presence and the Portuguese occupation in the 17th and 18th centuries. By recognizing multiple temporalities and cultural legacies, the first-year students developed a critical understanding of the continuities and ruptures that marked the formation of the Colares territory.
