Such increased comprehension is need concerning both people diagnosed and staff training. A potential alternative for increasing teaching efficiency is video-modeling (VM). This doctoral dissertation comprises two experiments aiming analyze the effects of VM, presenting possibilities of use as a teaching tool of different repertoires for different profiles of participants. Study 1 investigated the effects of video-monitoring training on learning skills of daily life in children with ASD via VM. The results showed that both participants acquired the monitoring repertoire and that this learning possibly contributed to learning via VM, in addition to demonstrating maintenance and generalization to other skills. Study 2 assessed the effectiveness and efficiency of a teaching package (consisting of written instruction, VM, and role-play with feedback) for staff training to implement discrete trial teaching (DTT) with children diagnosed with ASD, and assessed the impact of such training on children's learning. The results show the procedure used was effective to train professionals and children maintained already acquired skills and learned new ones in sessions implemented by such professionals. This doctoral dissertation adds empirical data on the use of VM as a teaching tool of different skills for learners with different profiles.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0/Transtorno do Espectro AutistaAutistic Spectrum DisorderVideomodelaçãoVideo modelingHabilidades da vida diáriaDaily life skillsTreino de profissionaisStaff trainingEnsino por tentativas discretasDiscrete trial teachingVideomodelação como ferramenta para treino de profissionais e ensino a crianças com Transtorno do Espectro AutistaVideomodeling as a tool for staff training and for teaching children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum DisorderTeseCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::PSICOLOGIAANÁLISE DO COMPORTAMENTO: DESENVOLVIMENTO DE TECNOLOGIA COMPORTAMENTALPSICOLOGIA EXPERIMENTAL
