The research object is to understand the sense of this transformation and to show how that space will take shape. How that street that stays beside a harbor acquires different senses in diverse moments of the city life. To demonstrate the importance in the reorganization of space, where the new economic order, formed by marchants, caoutchouc businessmen and liberal professionals directed the remodeling of the city, being the public power responsible in assigning the task to discipline and embellish the city by creating mechanisms that interfered in the everyday life of people.
