Research was carried out through semi-structered interviews with Science/Biology teachers, specially those working at the CPADC/Castanhal. Sample also included teachers who took part in the initial phase of the Group for Scientific Development (NPADC), a project based at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), which raised awareness and improved the quality of science teaching in the state of Pará.
