Creativity is an existential coping strategy that favors the updating of self-understanding and the unveiling of power plays in culture. Subalternity refers to inferiority, dependence, and domination present in the lowest strata of society, constituted by the specific modes of exclusion. Creative adjustment benefits identification with your body, your color, your sexuality; love, and cognitively appreciate your personal worth. Belonging to a family group is the first frontier of social learning of self-recognition; followed by the peer group, work, leisure, etc. Thus affirmation of the identity and mental health of black and lesbian women requires creative, personal and collective strategies of overcoming subalternity.Acesso Abertohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Ajustamento criativoMulheres negras e lésbicasSubalternidadeCreative adjustmentBlack and lesbian womenSubalternityAjustamento criativo e enfrentamento a subalternidade por mulheres negras e lésbicasCreative adjustment and facing the subalternity by black and lesbian womenArtigo de Periódico
