Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18760This thesis analyzes the procession of the Traslado of Our Lady of Nazaré to Ananindeua and Marituba as a communicational battlefield in which popular appropriation occurs primarily through kinesthetic, bodily, and sensory channels. Departing from the question of how the communicational dimension of the rite modulates meanings of identity and territory for a Black and peripheral body, the study proposes the concept of kinesthetic communication. This category is defined as a bodily intelligibility that emerges from movement and produces belonging irrespective of official discursive mediation. Methodologically, the research adopts sensory autoethnography and microethnography as epistemological architectures that depart from conventional frameworks, employing the researcher’s body as a central methodological operator and instrument of knowledge production. Fieldwork conducted between 2022 and 2024 demonstrates that the lived experience of the rite is not a mystical harmony but a highly regulated negotiation. The Black body, traversed by opacities and noise, inhabits a numinous ambivalence: between the fascination of collective occupation and fear configured as a state, racialized, and historically produced phenomenon. The analysis of ethnographic scenes and material culture reveals that the periphery operates as a symbolic center and a producer of resistances. It is concluded that ambivalence constitutes the key analytical category for understanding this communicational process.
