The first study aimed to investigate possible associations between variables related to maternal socialization goals and the implementation of prosocial behavior spontaneous assistance between the participating children. The second study investigated possible associations between variables related to maternal socialization goals and the manifestation of prosocial behavior of obedience among the children participating in the previous study. These first two studies, participated in 39 dyads consisting of mothers aged 17 to 48 years, and their children, regardless of sex, with a mean age of 24 months (sd = 3,7). It was found that the frequency of the behavior emitted by children in all tasks, presents significant correlation with maternal socialization goals, which argue that children in the first three years must learn to support the other (r = 0.40, p < 0.05; r = .33, p < 0.05). Finally, the third study investigated the maternal socialization goals that express expectations and objectives related to the child's emotional development. Therefore, attended by 40 mothers with at least one child aged between 1 and 35 months (M = 15,73 months, sd = 8,4). The age of mothers was between 13 and 36 years (M = 15,73 years, sd = 5.2). To collect the data the following tools: Participant Identification Form (PIF), Socio-Demographic Data Form (FDSD) and Emotion Socialization Goals Questionnaire. The results were comparable with the pointing literature, especially in relation to the key role that mothers play in the emotional development of their children. The limitations of these studies, it cites the small sample size of participants mothers, and also the number of research previously carried out on the socialization goals and its exposure to the influence of the prototypical characteristics of a rural context, particularly when it is in the process of transition between the orientation of models such as the searched. Therefore, it is evident the need for further studies using the same theoretical model involving a larger number of participants from more traditional environments, rural or not, such as maroons and coastal communities.
