Acesso em:.2318-1346https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/13008This article analyzes the fictional work Os pardais estão voltando from the writer from Pernambuco Gilvan Lemos deducing from the work cited aspects of the new historical novel. Initially, information about the life and work of that writer is evident, as well as some critical comments made on his literary production. Then, the analysis of the novel occurs, pointing out its narrative strategies evidencing a romanesque discourse combined with concepts from studies about the new Latin American historical novel in the considerations of Menton (1993), Le Goff (1996), Barros and Fiorin (1994 ), Bakhtin (1997) among other strategies that are present in the novel.
