Acesso em: .https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18266The general objective of this work is to study how Clarice Lispector's short stories allow elementary school students to reflect on themes of experience and human development, based on the literary reading perspectives of Aidan Chambers (2023), Bajour (2012), Souza (2016), Candido (2004), etc. and as a backdrop to existentialism as conceived by Jean-Paul Sartre (1970) and Simone de Beauvoir (1970). The research seeks to explore literature as a pedagogical tool to foster existential reflection among young people as individuals in formation. The analysis focuses on selected short stories by Lispector, whose narratives address fundamental questions of existence, such as freedom, anguish, choices and relationships with others, central elements in existentialist philosophy. The study will be conducted through fieldwork with 9th grade elementary school students, involving reading, discussion and reflective activities. The research considered that the literary approach based on the perspectives of literary reading and the guidelines of Existentialism can be a powerful tool for human development, allowing students to reflect on their own life experiences, choices and the meaning of existence.
