Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18244This research aims to present a case study in article form on the perception and knowledge regarding the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) at the State Finance Secretariat of Pará (SEFA/PA), defining and analyzing the importance of implementing data security in the public sector within an increasingly monitored society. In this context, the study seeks to provide an understanding based on information available on the websites of Finance Secretariats within the Legal Amazon, analyzing which Secretariats have already implemented the LGPD, so that the results serve as an indicator of the need for data governance in public administration, especially for the proposals intended for SEFA/PA, establishing a solid foundation for the initial steps in implementing the LGPD within the organization. The adopted methodology includes a bibliographic review to understand the most recent approach related to this institution, as well as an internal survey with SEFA/PA staff through a questionnaire aimed at fostering cultural maturity in data management within the institution and guiding the work that will be developed by the committee on the subject. Thus, the study will be made available to answer questions and provide clarification on the topic, encouraging interaction among employees, collaborators, and the public with the knowledge and insights addressed in the research.
