Time migration is a simple imaging method to evaluate these objective functions. Using time migration we studied the influence of objective functions on the results of migration velocity analysis. We propose two new objective functions for migration velocity analysis: Extended Differential Semblance and the product of Classical Semblance times the Extended Differential Semblance.
