This citizenship presupposes qualified public participation in the National Policy for Consumer’s relations, in particular through the Consumer Protection Representative Associations in Brazil. The State’s role as developer of effective and permanent activities of civil society will be redefined, mediating the dialogue between consumers and suppliers, which has repercussions in the prevention and suppression of illicit consumption and ensures the improvement of the quality and safety of products and services, placed on the economic market. The deductive method of investigation was used, based on national and foreign bibliographical research, resulting in the indication of political spaces of qualified consumer action, with a view to improving the legal protection of consumer relations.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Direito do consumidorPolítica Nacional das Relações de ConsumoAssociações representativasDemocracia deliberativaConsumer Protection LawNational Policy for Consumer RelationsRepresentative AssociationsDeliberative DemocracyA política nacional das relações de consumo como modelo de democracia deliberativaThe national costumer relations policy as a model of deliberative democracyArtigo de Periódico10.20499/2236-3645.RJP2018v19e119-1374
