Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/10702The present study aims to approach environmental education and understand the perception of the servers of the Pro-Rectory of Development and Personnel Management (PROGEP) of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) aiming at social and environmental sustainability in the workplace. The investigation is based on a bibliographic, documentary and field survey classified as exploratory and descriptive through case study. Its locus is PROGEP covering 91 technical-administrative servants who work at the Cidade Universitária José da Silveira Netto, Guamá and in the Program of Psychosocial Assistance to the Server (PAPS) at the Institute of Health Sciences, Umarizal, both in Belém. A 28 closed questions questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument based on Normative Rule nbr 10/2012 and 4 thematic axes of the the Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (A3P): Rational Use of Natural Resources and Public Goods, Generated Wastes Management, Quality of Life in the Work Environment and Awareness and Training of Servers. Results show in general a balance between good and bad socio-environmental practices not reaching in each one half of the total responses. The most significant positive results are in the thematic area Rational Use of Natural Resources and Public Goods. The most relevant negative results are presented in the other thematic axes being the most critical Awareness and Training of Servers. Both the Sustainable Logistics Management Plan (PLS) 2018 and the Capacitation Actions Plan (PAC) 2018 of the Institution do not establish training and awareness actions by PROGEP to promote and encourage socioenvironmental sustainability practices aiming at the acquisition of environmental competences in the scope of working, which justifies the negative result related to the thematic axis Sensitization and Training of Servers. This absence goes against with UFPA's strategic objective of promoting socio-environmental responsibility and its principle of preservation of the environment and PROGEP's principles as Quality of Life and Social-Environmental Responsibility.
