Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18879This research proposed the creation of a dance poetics that intertwines life stories, memory, and female ancestry. Centered on the researcher’s matrilineal lineage – comprising her great grandmother, grandmother, and mother – the study adopts women’s writing as a symbolic and political gesture of resistance against the historical erasure of women’s life trajectories, articulating a critical reflection on women’s social status and the oppressions produced by the patriarchal system through a dialogue between philosophy and feminism. In this context, the study examines how female ancestry – linked to the life stories of the women in the artist researcher’s family – can constitute a field for artistic creation and the production of knowledge in dance. Thus, the research sought to understand the dancing body as a space inhabited by the matrilineal alpha being, in which memory, ancestry, and lived experience are transformed into movement, configuring the body as a living archive and dance as a language of listening, belonging, and affirmation of feminine existence. The methodology of this work is grounded in Artistic Practice as Research (PaR), as developed by Ciane Fernandes, integrating the principles of the “Inhabitant-Creator,” proposed by Mayrla Andrade Ferreira, and elements of the Dancer Researcher-Interpreter (BPI) Method, systematized by Graziela Rodrigues, to understand the body as a territory of memory and investigation. The theoretical framework is transdisciplinary, drawing connections between dance, feminist studies, and philosophy, and highlighting the awakening of the “Wild Woman” – an archetype created by Clarissa Pinkola Estés – which represents the instinctive, creative, and ancestral feminine force that dwells within every woman. Thus, the research demonstrated that writing and dance creation serve as means for listening to, elaborating on, and (re)inscribing feminine memories and existence itself, making it possible to transform ancestral stories into an aesthetic and political experience. The stage production “Women who live within me” contributed to strengthening and broadening discussions on the production of knowledge based on lived experience through artistic practice.
