Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18586This dissertation aims to reflect on and highlight the importance of Indigenous themes in urban contexts within History teaching, specifically focusing on urban Indigenous peoples in Altamira, bringing visibility to their historiography in classroom practice. The central question was to understand how these urban populations have long been made invisible by historiography and how this discussion can be incorporated into teaching. To address this issue, it was necessary to examine the historiographical production about these peoples, as well as to understand Indigenous movements’ struggles for the consolidation of Law 11.645/2008 and to reflect on how this legislation should be effectively implemented in the classroom. This research is based on a qualitative approach, adopting an action-research and participatory perspective.
