In this scenario, Sustainable Development Startups (SDS) and suppliers in the Amazon bioeconomy carry out Actions with Sustainable Characteristics (ASC) that enable access to complementary resources, knowledge sharing, and stronger innovative capacity, although these relationships also involve challenges related to trust and opportunism. Against this backdrop, this study analyzes the role of trust in relationships between startups and suppliers in the Amazon bioeconomy, seeking to understand how these interactions contribute to the adoption of sustainable practices and the creation of shared value. Through a single case study of an SDS partnering with local organic food producers in the Amazon, semi-structured interviews and content analysis were conducted. Results indicate that trust plays a relevant role in interorganizational relationships in local productive systems, being affected by partnership dynamics and the challenges of sustainable entrepreneurship in the Amazon. It was found that trust manifests in two interdependent dimensions, affective and cognitive, and faces cases of violation and repair without significant harm to partnership continuity.
